integrative PSYCHOTHERAPY IN London, Kent & Online
Perhaps you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or lost. Maybe you're struggling with relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-worth, or the pressures of expat life. You might be searching for a safe space to explore your thoughts, make sense of your emotions, and work through challenges.
Whatever has brought you here, therapy can help.
I’m Sarah Alpert, an experienced BACP-registered and COSRT accredited psychotherapist offering professional and compassionate support to individuals and couples. I work with people from all backgrounds, including those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have specialist qualifications in working with compulsive sexual behaviour and problematic sexual behaviour.
My practice is grounded in an integrative approach, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models—including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) – tailoring sessions to meet your specific needs.
I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space, helping you explore difficult thoughts and emotions, break free from unhelpful patterns, and gain clarity and self-awareness.
Whether you are navigating a personal crisis, seeking greater fulfilment in life, or working through relationship issues, I am here to help you find a way forward.
Based in London and Kent, I currently offer all sessions online via Zoom.
Life can be overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to manage difficult emotions alone. Therapy provides a space to explore your thoughts, process emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies for stress, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
Intimacy and relationships can be deeply fulfilling but also challenging. I provide non-judgemental support for individuals and couples navigating relationship difficulties, intimacy concerns, and sexual health issues.
Adapting to life in a new country is exciting, but it also brings unique challenges—such as isolation, cultural adjustment, and identity struggles. Having lived abroad myself, I understand these issues firsthand and can support you through them.
Therapy is not about fixing you or giving you instant solutions. It’s a collaborative process where we explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment. Therapy provides the space to make sense of your experiences, understand patterns that may be holding you back, and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Many people come to therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck. Together, we work at your pace, helping you gain clarity and self-awareness. Some sessions may focus on processing past experiences, while others may be more solution-focused, offering strategies to help you move forward. Therapy is not about being told what to do—it’s about having the support to discover your own answers.
Over time, therapy can help you build resilience, improve your emotional well-being, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. You may not always leave each session with a solution, but you will leave with greater insight, new perspectives, and the confidence to navigate life’s challenges with more clarity and strength.
Therapy is a step towards self-discovery, healing, and change. If you’re ready to take that step, I’m here to support you.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there”
Rumi
